Missouri’s Olympic-style sports festival comes to Hannibal Friday to promote its 2014 games.

The Shelter Insurance Show-Me State Games Torch Run drew dignitaries and runners to Central Park as part of state wide tour to promote the games.

Following the ceremony in the park, a dozen local runners, including Hannibal Mayor Pro Tem Kevin Knickerbocker, carried the Show-Me Games torch on a two mile run through the streets of Hannibal.

The 30th Anniversary Show-Me State Games takes place the last two weekends in July in Columbia.
