Temperatures didn't get out of the 20s at Hannibal's Huckleberry Park, but the cold conditions did not prevent hardy disc golfers from around the region from taking part.

The 16th annual event at the Don Crane Disc Golf Course was sponsored by the Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department and Excitement Disc Golf.

As happens every year, the event is a fund raiser for the Buddy Park Program, which benefits more than 400 children in the Hannibal Public and Parochial schools every week, giving them nutritious foods they may not otherwise get on the weekends.

According to Mary Lynne Richards, recreation supervisor for Hannibal Parks and Rec, the Buddy Pack Program, "provides kid-friendly nutritious food on the weekends. The goal is to make sure low-income children stay fed, healthy and productive."

The winners of this year's Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament were:

A Flight: Third, Charles Rapp, New London; Second, Brad Fink, Hannibal; First, Michael Hamby, Quincy.
