Authorities say a train derailment that blocked Highway 79 in Louisiana is under investigation.

One empty freight car on an eastbound Kansas City Southern train derailed on the railroad bridge around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

No injuries are reported. No hazardous materials were involved. The accident blocked traffic for a time on Missouri  79 at the railroad crossing near the Bunge grain terminal.

A Kansas City Southern spokeswoman said the railroad main line re-opened about 2:30 (this) Wednesday morning.
