The girlfriend of a southern Illinois man who's imprisoned for the shooting deaths of two people on a camping trip has been found guilty of hindering the investigation.

WSIL-TV reports a White County jury convicted 31-year-old Candice Brown of two counts of obstruction of justice. The Olney woman is to be sentenced March 26.

Her boyfriend is 37-year-old Danny Coston of Carmi. He was sentenced to 53 years in prison last September for the August 2012 shooting deaths of 22-year-old Jacob Wheeler and 17-year-old Jessica Evans.

Authorities say the victims had been camping and fishing along the Little Wabash River and were reported missing after they didn't return home. Searchers found Evans' body the next day, and Wheeler's body was discovered later.
