Douglass Family Fun Day
(Hannibal)—Hannibal’s Central Park is the setting for Family Fun Day sponsored by Douglass Community Services. Executive Director Dave Dexheimer says there are lots of activities for kids and adults to enjoy today including games, food, and raffles. Dexheimer says there are a number of programs under the Douglass umbrella that serve needs in the community including Head Start, RSVP, Kids in Motion, CASA, and other support services.
Funding for the programs comes from a variety of sources including government funds and grants. Dexheimer says volunteers are critical to the operation and donations of time and money are always welcome. He says utility assistance and homeless issues are some of the challenges that still have unmet needs. For more information, contact Douglass Comm. Services at 573.221.3890.
