Walmart is Permanently Closing Another Wisconsin Store in May

It's not exactly news that it's been a challenging year for brick and mortar retail so far in 2024, but another store is about to be closed in the next week and a half. Walmart is closing yet another store location and it will be happening soon.

I saw Business Insider mention this just a few days ago that Walmart was closing 8 more stores. On their list was one in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the closing is imminent.

The Wisconsin Walmart that's closing is this one located at 7025 W Main Street in Milwaukee.

CBS 58 is reporting that this Milwaukee, Wisconsin Neighborhood Walmart will be closing on Friday, May 17, 2024.

According to Walmart's corporate site, there are still 98 retail Walmart locations in Wisconsin including 82 supercenters, 4 discount stores, 2 neighborhood markets and 10 Sam's Clubs.

The Business Insider story said that Walmart plans to build 150 new stores over the next few years and hundreds will be upgraded to their store of the future designs.
