Quincy Crimestoppers Tip Leads to Arrest

(QUINCY)—A tip to Crimestoppers results in the arrest of a 16-year-old male juvenile wanted on several warrants and in a November 11th stabbing incident.

Quincy Police were told the juvenile was in a local business. Law enforcement set up surveillance and then stopped a car in which he was riding on North 36th just south of Locust. The juvenile was taken into custody.

A .22 caliber hand gun and narcotics were recovered during the arrest. The juvenile is held in the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center on outstanding warrants, the November 11th aggravated battery and on new charges stemming from the traffic stop.

West Central Illinois Task Force agents assisted in the arrest.
