A Bowling Green man who allegedly told authorities that he was pawning jewelry for a family member faces a court hearing September 3.
22-year-old Travis VanHooser is charged with felony burglary. He’s accused of trying to pawn silverware and jewelry reported stolen from a home on a county road near Highway 61 north of Bowling Green on August 7.

Authorities allege in a probable cause statement that the suspect first told them the items he was trying to pawn belonged to a family member. Investigators reported that he then claimed a friend asked him to sell the items.

VanHooser also faces a felony possession of a controlled substance charge.
