The Terre Haute Rex sweep the Hannibal Cavemen Saturday, winning both games of a doubleheader at Clemens Field.   According to KHMO Sports Director Bill Shuler, the Cavemen had plenty of chances to score in the first game.  Hannibal had runners on base in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th innings, but come up empty in the scoring.  The final was 7 to 0 in favor of Terre Haute.

In game two, the Cavemen led 2 to1, tied things up 3 to 3, but Terre Haute exploded with 6 runs in the 6th, setting the Rex up for a win with a final score of 9 to 3.

The Hannibal Cavemen have a couple of days off.  Tuesday they travel to Quincy to take on the Gems.  Wednesday, the Cavemen will host the Gems in Clemens Field.   You can catch the play--by- play on Khmoradio.com beginning at 6:20.

Quincy Gems lose to LaFayette on Saturday, 11 to 7.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:

The Cardinals lose on the road in Seattle to the Mariners Saturday.   The final was 5 to 4.  Same two teams battle Sunday afternoon, pregame on 1070 KHMO begins at 2:15 p.m.
