Maintenance workers at the BASF facility near Palmyra have voted to go on strike.

46 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 822, voted to strike at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.

The maintenance workers are employed by KRB, which is based in Houston. KRB contracts with BASF to do maintenance work at the facility.

The union’s latest contract expired August 12, with an extension agreed to that ran through midnight Thursday.
