After one postponement to wait for materials and another postponement because of weather, repair work is underway on the Champ Clark Bridge at Louisiana.

MODOT says the bridge will be closed for the duration of the project. Work is expected to be complete by the end of the day on Friday, weather permitting. Traffic is being detoured.

Repair work includes replacement of expansion joints and concrete repair.

Travelers are being detoured to cross the Mississippi at St. Louis, Hannibal or Quincy.
