Woman Drives Into Sinkhole on Columbus Road

A Quincy woman escaped serious injury Sunday morning when she drove into a sinkhole. Adams County Sheriff’s deputies say 26-year-old Alana Rabe of Quincy drove around a road closed barricade and into a sink hole in the 72-hundred block of Columbus Road. Rabe is charged with disobeying a traffic control device and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Heavy equipment was used to remove Rabe’s car from the sink hole. Columbus Road remains closed in that area.
