The trial of one of two men charged in the death of a Hannibal convenience store clerk has been continued.

At a pre-trial hearing Monday for 23-year-old Gary Wiltermood, both the defense and the prosecution asked the judge for a continuance. Wiltermood’s trial was to have begun April 30.

No new trial date has been set.

Wiltermood and 31-year-old Michael Studer are accused of robbing Abel’s Quik Shop on Shinn Lane last October, which resulted in the death of 61-year-old Adrienne Arnett.

The trials of both men were moved to Boone County on a change of venue.
