Wave of Vehicle Break-Ins Strikes Quincy

Quincy Police are warning residents to secure their vehicles after officers investigate 10 break-ins this weekend.

The 10 vehicles burglarized were in the areas of 11th to 12th / Lind to Cherry. The burglars struck late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Police say the burglars were able to enter a garage in one instance and also a residence.  Purses and money were the most reported stolen items.

The Quincy Police Department reminds citizens to lock their doors, and do not leave valuables in cars or have anything of interest in plain view.

Anyone witnessing suspicious activity should call the Quincy Police Department at 217-222-9360.
