Three young children and their grandmother are dead as the result of a traffic crash in Quincy Friday.

Quincy Police report 36 year old Natasha McBride of Quincy was westbound at 4th and Broadway just before 5 p.m. Friday when she allegedly ran the stop light and struck a northbound vehicle, driven by 61 year old Stephen Hendricks of Rushville, Illinois.

Stephen Hendricks was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

He had four passengers. 54 year old Jennifer Hendricks, also of Rushville and four year old Archer Corrick of Kirksville, were pronounced dead at the scene. Six year old Dakota Corrick of Kirksville was pronounced dead at Blessing Hospital, and 18 month old Ransom Corrick of Kirksville was pronounced dead at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.

McBride fled the scene on foot and was later arrested on the Bayview Bridge. She has been charged with aggravated DUI, leaving the scene of an accident with fatalities, driving while license revoked and reckless homicide.

McBride was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of injuries. Police say when she is discharged, she will be lodged in the Adams County Jail.
