Two Snow Related Traffic Crashes Wednesday

A Mendon suffers minor injuries in a two vehicle crash on U.S. 24 north of Spring Lake Road in Adams County at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports 23-year-old Jason Turner of Ursa was southbound on 24 when he lost control of his pickup on the icy roadway and struck a pickup driven by 48 year old Ronald Gooding of Mendon.

Gooding was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment. Turner was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

A snow drift on US 136 three miles east of Wayland is a factor in a pickup truck crash at 3:20 Wednesday. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a pickup driven by 49 year old David Morgan of Kahoka hit a drift and then a bridge rail before coming to rest in the road. Morgan and a passenger—23 year old Tayler Smith were taken to Keokuk Area Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
