Two Rockport, Illinois residents are arrested early Wednesday morning on meth related charges.

According to Pike County, Illinois Sheriff David Greenwood, deputies, Illinois State Troopers and agents for the West Central Illinois Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a property in rural Rockport about 5 a.m. Wednesday.

The search resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency.

Taken into custody were 52 year old Chantel Myers and 35 year old Quinten Lee Cantwell, both of Rockport.

Both are charged with unlawful possession of meth and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cantwell is also arrested on Pike County warrants for probation violation and failure to report to a penal institution.

Myers and Cantwell are lodged in the Pike County Jail.

More arrests are pending.
