Highway 6 in Lewis County was blocked for about two hours Friday morning as a result of a rollover crash east of Lewistown.

The Highway Patrol reports 44 year old Billy Simmons of Bowling Green lost control of his semi at 9:35 a.m. Friday. The semi ran off the road and struck a culvert. The trailer separated from the tractor with the trailer coming to rest on its side.

Simmons was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Traffic on Highway 6 was back open by midday.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is reporting a tractor trailer has overturned on Missouri Highway 6 between Lewistown and Ewing in Lewis County. Both lanes of Missouri 6 are closed from Missouri 16 to Missouri 156 while the roadway is cleared.
