Civic, business and community leaders from around the tri-state area get together in Quincy to exchange ideas Friday.

The 12th Tri-State Development Summit meets at the Oakley Lindsay Center in Quincy.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Innovation Through Collaboration.”

The summit will feature talks on topics ranging from transportation, economic development, education and quality of life issues.

Among the speakers are former congressman and Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, Missouri Congressman Sam Graves and former state senator and current director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture John Sullivan.

Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. Friday, with sessions running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
