Three Members of New Illinois General Assembly Face Criminal Charges

Illinois' new General Assembly will include three lawmakers facing criminal charges. State Senator Donne Trotter faces charges for allegedly bringing a weapon to an airport, and Representative La Shawn Ford is accused of federal bank fraud. Former state Representative Derrick Smith returns to Springfield today after being arrested on bribery charges and expelled last year. Voters put Smith back in office in November.
