According to the Adams County Sheriff's Department, the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed early Sunday morning when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to slide into a ditch.

The Quincy Herald-Whig reports the driver and one of the passengers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The second passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Deputies say all three were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
