(UNDATED)-- If you haven’t done your taxes yet, you’re about out of time.    Federal and state returns must be postmarked by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday. You can request a six-month extension for filing federal taxes, but you still have to pay what you think is  owed by April 17th.    The normal tax deadline is April 15, but the government extended it this year to Tuesday because April 15 is a Sunday and April 16 is a holiday in the District of Columbia.
