Six people are hurt, four seriously, in two separate traffic crashes in Ralls County over the weekend.

Five people are hurt, three seriously, in a UTV crash on Cherokee Drive south of Hannibal in Ralls County at 10:25 p.m. Saturday.

The Highway Patrol reports 18 year old Remington Buehler of Camp Point was southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and overcorrected, causing his UTV to overturn.

Buehler and one of his passengers, an 18 year old Edwardsville man, suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. Three other passengers, 18 year olds Madeline Girolamo of Aurora, Illinois, Steffi Lao of Chicago and Olivia Simmons of O’Fallon, Missouri, were all taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment of serious injuries.

 

A Perry man suffers serious injuries in a one car crash on Ralls County Route J east of Monroe City at 12:49 a.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports 53 year old Jon Barron was southbound when his Corvette ran off the road, struck a culvert, became airborne and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels.

Barron was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
