Hannibal Police say six people face charges following a tip about people traveling from Florida to Hannibal to fraudulently obtain prescription pills.

Officers say surveillance at a pharmacy in the 800 block of Church late Wednesday morning resulted in an encounter with a female in the pharmacy trying to fill a prescription and three others in a parked vehicle outside. A loaded firearm reported stolen in Ohio was found in the vehicle along with prescription pills obtained in Bowling Green Missouri. Police say 73 year old James Harless and 36 year old Bobbie Williams of Columbus Ohio were arrested along with 49 year old David Swisher of Tampa Florida and 48 year old Norman Ball of Seminole Florida were arrested on various drug charges. Harless and Williams face weapons charges. Police say the investigation also resulted in the mid afternoon arrests of 38 year old Christoper Ingram and 47 year old Laura Ingram of Grove City Ohio as they attempted to obtain controlled substances at another Hannibal pharmacy.

All six individuals are in the Marion County Jail.
