A Quincy man charged in connection with an attack on a friar at Quincy University will now undergo a second mental fitness exam.

At a status hearing in Adams County Circuit Court Wednesday, it was revealed that the results of a mental fitness exam performed on 36 year old George Scott IV were undetermined.

Judge Robert Adrian ordered a second exam be performed at a mental health center in Springfield.

Scott is charged with aggravated battery in a public place and aggravated battery of a school employee.

Scott is alleged to have entered QU’s Brenner Library and battered a friar with a stick.

Scott is in the Adams County Jail on $20,000 bond.
