A Hannibal man pleaded not guilty to drug charges Monday morning.

Samuel Foust entered the plea in Marion County Circuit Court before Judge Rachel Bringer Shepherd. Foust is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Foust’s arrest came after an investigation by task force agents and a search of three different homes in Hannibal, resulting in seizure of heroin, methadone, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Among the others arrested in connection with the investigation was Samuel Foust’s brother, former elementary school principal J.D. Foust.
