Rural Bowling Green Man Faces Burglary Charges
A rural Bowling Green man is in the Pike County Jail in connection with a series of field fires over the weekend.
The Pike County Sheriff’s office reports three separate field fires were reported in the same general area south of Curryville within a three-hour time period Saturday afternoon. In the third fire, a barn and machine shed were also suffered heavy fire damage.
An investigation resulted in the arrest of 23 year old Melvin Yoder in his residence. He reportedly admitted to deputies that he started the fires.
Yoder is being charged with two counts of burglary.
