Ralls Countians who find themselves short of food due to unforeseen circumstances now have a place to go for help.

The Ralls County Health Department has established an emergency food pantry for eligible residents.

The pantry is for those who are in need of groceries due to sudden unemployment, health issues, or other emergency situations. Access to the food pantry is by referral only from social workers, healthcare professionals or clergy.

Donations are also being accepted to keep the food pantry stocked. There is a donation box at the Dollar General in New London, and donations can be taken to the health department office.
