Quincy Teen Charged with Murder in Court Wednesday

The Quincy teen charged in the shooting death of an 18 year old Quincy man last week was in court Wednesday.

16 year old Roger Parker, Jr. told Judge Debra Wellborn in Adams County Circuit Court that he planned to hire private counsel, but had not yet retained an attorney.

Judge Wellborn continued the case until next week.

Parker is charged with three counts of first degree murder in the shooting death of Darrell Kelley, Jr. last week in the 600 block of Sycamore.

Parker turned himself in to police last Friday.

Parker will be back in court Monday for a status hearing on counsel.
