Quincy Man Arrested in Stabbing

(Quincy) – Quincy Police, Fire and Adams County EMS respond to a report of a stabbing at 12:12 this morning in the 600 block of North 5th. Emergency personnel arrived to find a 64 year old white male had been stabbed once in the abdomen. An investigation led to the arrest of 36 year old Chad Payne of the 1300 block of North 5th. Payne was arrested for armed violence and aggravated battery and lodged in the Adams County Jail. At last report, the victim was reported in serious condition at Blessing Hospital.
