(Liberty, Ill)—A Quincy man is behind bars after two people are shot at a Liberty, Illinois motorcycle club just before 6 a.m. Saturday. Adams County Deputies responding to the Midwest Percenters Clubhouse on North Main in Liberty arrived to find two victims, a 34 year-old male and a 55 year old male, suffering with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Blessing Hospital. About 90 minutes later in rural Liberty, Deputies apprehended 41 year-old Michael Angelo Gomez of Quincy on charges of attempted murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and aggravated battery. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday. This is the second time this year authorities have investigated armed violence related to the club. Four men were arrested in May in connection with the armed robbery of two Quincy motorcyclists.
