Quincy Man Arrested Following Groping Incident

A Quincy man is in custody on aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges.
Quincy Police say 62 year old Scott Espe is accused of groping a female co-worker Sunday at a Quincy restaurant during a break. The victim is under the age of 18. Espe left the restaurant before officers were able to talk to him but he was located and
taken to the Quincy Police Department. A review of Espe’s sex offender registration file found that he failed to register new employment. Espe was taken to the Adams County Jail. Espe was interviewed Tuesday regarding the workplace incident resulting in the aggravated criminal sexual abuse charge. Police say Espe was on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections and that they will be issuing a parole violation warrant.
