Quincy Man Arrested After Car Strikes House
A Quincy man is in custody as the result of a traffic crash at about 8 a.m. Sunday.
Quincy Police report 30-year-old Jared Cook was westbound on Broadway when his pickup truck veered across the eastbound lanes of traffic. The truck hit the opposite curb and a small tree and became airborne.
The truck landed in 22nd Street, then struck a stack of wood, a fence and a home at 329 North 22nd.
Cook fled the scene and was taken into custody about 90 minutes later in the 300 block of Maiden Lane.
Cook was arrested for aggravated DUI, driving with a revoked license, leaving the scene of an accident, improper lane usage and possession of cannabis.
Cook is in the Adams County Jail.
