Proposed Livestock Law Advances

(JEFFERSON CITY)–The Missouri House takes a step toward making it a crime for people to get a job at a livestock facility just to try to catch animal abuse on video. Wording within a bill would make it a crime to gain access to farm or processing facilities under false pretenses or by falsifying an application for employment. It also makes illegal the creation, possession or distribution of videos or other records of activity at those facilities without the owner’s consent.
