Probable cause was found for a Hancock County man to stand trial in the death of his father.

In circuit court Thursday, Judge Rodney Clark ruled there was enough evidence to move forward with 36 year old Andrew DeHaven’s case.

Andrew DeHaven is charged with three counts of first degree murder in the death of 67 year old Michael DeHaven on February 10th at a residence in Pontoosuc.

Andrew DeHaven is alleged to have beaten his father to death with a hammer.

DeHaven will be back in court for arraignment March 12th.
He remains in the Hancock County Jail on $3-million dollars bond.
