Police: Two Missouri Women Died After Using Methamphetamine
Police say two southwest Missouri women found dead in their homes on the same day died after using methamphetamine.
Monett Police Chief Tim Schweder says a man who allegedly supplied the drugs to both women the day they died could be charged with second-degree murder in their deaths.
The women, 37-year-old Anna K. Smith and 25-year-old Tosha M. Norris, were found dead minutes apart in their homes in Monett Saturday.
The Joplin Globe reports that Schweder says the 35-year-old suspect took drugs with both women and left them alone when they each had a severe reaction to the drug.
The suspect is being held in the Barry County Jail, accused of failing to appear on a second-degree domestic violence charge. No bond has been set.
