Quincy University’s Chief Operating Officer has been tapped to serve as Acting President starting next month.

The QU Board of Trustees Wednesday appointed Phil Conover to move from COO to Acting President effective May 15th.

Conover will replace Dr. Robert Gervasi, who announced his resignation in March to accept the presidency of Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio.

Conover has an extensive educational background in the area, from basketball coach at Quincy Notre Dame to vice-chair of Quincy University’s Board of Trustees.

He has served as QU’s Chief Operating Officer since last December.
The Board of Trustees’ search for a new president continues, with a goal of having a new president in place by the start of the 2018-19 school year.
