Six buses loaded with nearly 200 students returned to Palmyra High School Thursday afternoon after drivers decided poor visibility was too risky.

Superintendent Eric Churchwell said the schools dismissed a little after noon due to the storm. Four buses finished their scheduled routes while six drove students to the high school. The last of the students were driven home or picked up by 4 p.m.

Churchwell said drivers began their normal routes, then “determined visibility wasn’t good and turned around.”
