On Tuesday October 21st, Detectives with the Hannibal Police Department Narcotics Unit received information that illegal narcotics had been transported from a residence in Hannibal and were being hidden at a residence in Ralls County. The Narcotics Detectives, assisted by the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department, made contact at the residence and received consent to search the house. During the course of the search officers located and seized (85) individually packaged bricks of marijuana. Totaling an approximate weight of 85 lbs. As a result of the investigation, 38 year old Marlon D. Gillum, of Hannibal, was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold at the Marion County Jail. On October 22nd a warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Court of Ralls County charging Gillum with the Class C felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Gillum’s bond was set at $50,00.00 cash only.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
