The opening activities for the 64th National Tom Sawyer Days take place Saturday in downtown Hannibal.

Registration starts at 10 a.m. for the Hannibal Jaycees Cornhole Tournament in Tanyard Gardens, with the tournament starting at 11 a.m.

The first of a series of concerts on the Tanyard Garden stage takes place Saturday night, with Nashville recording artist Jerrod Niemann, with special guests The Feudin’ Hillbillies, taking the stage at 7 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30.

National Tom Sawyer Days activities begin in earnest Wednesday, with the carnival, the pet show, and Rhonda Vincent in concert.
