Chances of precipitation will give way to a mostly nice Thanksgiving weekend in northeast Missouri and western Illinois.

National Weather Service forecasters say a slight chance of snow moves into the area Tuesday night, with a better chance of rain and snow Wednesday. Snow accumulation of around an inch is expected.

Wednesday night through Saturday night look to be sunny to partly cloudy, with slight chances of rain and snow moving into the area Sunday and Monday.

High temperatures for the week start in the upper 30s Tuesday and Wednesday, dropping to the low 30s Thanksgiving Day. Highs are predicted to top out at 48 Friday, 57 Saturday and 46 Sunday.

Low temps will be mostly in the mid to upper 20s, with the exception of Friday and Saturday, with lows of 36 and 40 expected, respectively.
