(CURRYVILLE)--   A Curryville man is accused of kicking and hitting a jailer just one day before he pleaded guilty to burglarizing a convenience store.  29-year-old Aubrey Cropp is charged with felony assault on a law enforcement officer.

Authorities say Cropp kicked and hit an officer at the Pike County Jail after he allegedly refused to quit kicking a cell door. Officers had to use a Taser to subdue the suspect. There were no injuries.    The incident allegedly happened on June 24th. The next day, Cropp pleaded guilty to the March burglary of a Curryville convenience store and was sentenced to six years in prison.
