Several bridges in Northeast Missouri will be worked on in the summer of 2014.

A contract for bridge repairs in Lewis and Marion Counties was recently awarded by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission. The driving surface will be removed and replaced on the Grassy Creek Bridge on Route N and North Fabius River Bridge on Route V in Lewis County, and Grassy Creek Bridge on Route A in Marion County. The improvements include the complete removal of the old bridge decks and replacing each with new concrete decks.

The roads will be closed at the bridges from 32 to 45 days depending on the size of the bridge. Construction on the bridges could begin after April and is expected to be completed by October 1, 2014.

All roadwork is posted on MoDOT'S traveler information map. Travelers are encouraged to check the online mapdaily for new work zones.
