(Washington, D.C.)—Several bipartisan bills receiving U.S. Senate approval over the weekend were co-sponsored by Missouri Senators. A September 22nd press release from Senator Claire McCaskill says the Senate held session until the wee hours of the morning Saturday, passing several bills affecting Missourians. The McCaskill-Thune bill seeks to protect the airline industry from a European carbon tax. The McCaskill-Rubio bill helps prevent foreign regulation of the internet, and a bill co-sponsored by McCaskill and Missouri U.S. Senator Roy Blunt adjusts judicial boundaries to improve efficiency. McCaskill says these bills along with a number of other measures including the Farm Bill and Postal Reform Bill now move to the U.S. House of Representatives for approval.
