Martineau Found Guilty of Liberty Home Invasion

It took about 20 minutes for an Adams County jury to find a Liberty man guilty Tuesday of home invasion with a dangerous weapon.

The jury also found 53 year old John Martineau not guilty of home invasion with a firearm.

Martineau was alleged to have entered the home of Ricky Liesen in Liberty on April 18th, threatening him with a gun and a knife. Martineau reportedly was angered that Liesen had provided information about him to police officers in a different case.

An investigation resulted in the recovery of the knife used in the incident, but the firearm was not found.

Sentencing is set for November 2nd. Martineau remains in the Adams County Jail.
