All roads lead to the Marion County Fairgrounds in Palmyra as the 2014 edition of the fair begins its eight-day run Saturday, July 26.

The fair hits the ground running on day one Saturday. The parade steps off from the high school at 10 a.m., followed by the KC BBQ on the courthouse lawn. The car and motorcycle show starts on the midway at noon. The junior miss and Marion County Queen pageants begin at 3 p.m. on the talent stage, with the Tate Shade Memorial Bull Bash in the arena at 7 p.m.

Sunday is church night at the fair at 7 p.m. on the talent stage, sponsored by the Ministerial Alliance.

Monday's highlights include the Little Mr. and Miss contest on the talent stage and a concert by Story of Hope in the arena.

Armbands are on sale at a number of Palmyra businesses for the carnival, which runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
