Liberty Woman Seriously Injured When Struck While Mowing

A Liberty woman suffers major injuries when she is struck by a car while mowing her grass just before 3 p.m. Thursday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports 23 year old Aaron Sidock of Arenzville, Illinois was eastbound on Highway 104 west of Liberty when he lost control of his car. The car ran off the road and struck 77 year old Elaine Simon of Liberty.

Simon was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment.

Sidock was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage and felony DUI.
