Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers report fewer traffic crashes, injuries and fatalities for the 2018 Labor Day holiday weekend.
Troopers say there were five fatalities on Missouri Highways—down from eleven a year ago. Troopers worked a total of 258 crashes statewide resulting in 92 injuries. During the 2017 Labor Day holiday weekend troopers reported 313 crashes resulting in 130 injuries. DWI arrests were down this year too with 97 arrests compared to 142 a year ago.

Troopers also report nine boat crashes on Missouri waterways over the Labor Day holiday. Those crashes resulted in three injuries. There were fifteen boating while intoxicated arrests statewide.
