QUINCY -- Officials at John Wood Community College want to cut spending and staff in the next fiscal year.
In a release sent to local media Monday night, JWCC says that administration will propose a balanced budget to the board on June 20.
That plan includes decreased operational spending, closing vacant positions and eliminating several full and part time positions.
Details on the proposal will be released following the June board meeting.
In June 2010, eight non-faculty positions were cut and 18 employees either retired or resigned.
