Salmonella is an infection that is especially dangerous for children and in severe cases can be fatal as pointed out by the CDC. The good news for this recall is that no serious illnesses have been directly connected to these ice cream bars as of the date of this writing.

What are the symptoms of salmonella poisoning?

If you or your family have consumed these bars and experience stomach cramps, fever and/or diarrhea, you should consult a doctor as soon as possible. Most healthy people will not experience serious complications from salmonella, but children or those with compromised immune systems might.

The FDA says that if you find that you do have these ice cream bars, you should not consume them and dispose of them immediately. For more details and updates, you can check out the bulletin shared today.
